Kia ora koutou,

I want to acknowledge everyone who has been a part of building this movement over the last year. Whether big or small we all have a part to play in building worker power and fighting for a better world for us all.

This is your union, we encourage you to participate in it as much as you can. Every conversation you have in the break room, every union event or video call you join is a crucial step towards correcting power imbalances in the workplace.

Our AGM this year was held in October and delegates from worksites around Aotearoa gathered together to celebrate our union. It is an important part of reporting back to members on the past year and ensuring our union remains focused on our aims of improving members' lives and those of working people as a whole. Thank you to those who attended.

In a society that is being constantly challenged and fractured by individualism and factionalism we're going against the grain and building a community.

We are stronger when we stand together.

However you are spending the summer, all of us at Unite wish you a safe and healthy festive season.
