2026 Unite Conference and AGM

The Unite Union 2026 National Delegates Conference and AGM will be held in Auckland
on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th September 2026 at The Parnell Hotel & Conference Centre, 10/20 Gladstone Road, Parnell, Auckland 1052

Delegates will be attending from all over the country to participate in training workshops, discussions about the future of unionism and Unite, and to elect Unite's National Executive and officers, the leading body of the union. 


The AGM part of the conference  will be split into two parts:

  • Part One: 10.15am Tuesday 29th

    1. Apologies

    2. Remits requiring changes to election processes

3. Explanation of election processes for the next day.


  • Part Two: 10.30am on Wednesday 30th

    4. Minutes of Previous AGM

    5. Co-Presidents Report

    6. Secretary’s Report

    7. Financial and Membership Report

    8. Remits (continued - those not related to election processes) 9. Election of Officers (nominations close September

    • National Secretary 2 year term

    • Co-president  2 year term.

10. Election of Executive - Five Executive positions to be elected for two year terms (nominations close during conference).

11. General Business

All members are entitled to attend the AGM as an observer, but voting representatives will be delegates from their worksite who have already been selected as per the constitution and have being notified. As the conference is primarily training for delegates, priority for attendance at the conference has been given to delegates who have not yet undertaken delegate training.


The deadline for Co-President and National Secretary nominations and remits for consideration at the AGM is 5pm Tuesday 15th September.


Nominations for Executive members will close on the morning of Wednesday 30th September. Nomination forms will be available at the conference, but can also be downloaded here:
